1999
It was 1999 and they were barely in their
late 20s when they realized they love ABBA. From that day on they
demanded Fernando & co. at every party. It was their inspiring way
of singing that made the others propose that they should start a
girl band (i.e. to canalise their singing efforts). Marzi and Andi
were the only ones brave enough to take the challenge.
Founding a girl band didn't work out cause they couldn't find enough females
from within their circle of friends that would play any instruments or at
least be willing to learn one. That's where Sami and Clem (already acknowledged
musicians) stepped in. Sami found a broken bass guitar and started to
repair it. Andi rather liked the red colour he painted it in, so she became
the bass player. Marzi got herself a second hand acoustic guitar, as she
claimed playing guitars goes in her family. She also agreed to sing. Fortunately,
they haven't got a proper microphone so far, so her singing goes unnoticed
amidst the roar of electric guitars and bangs of drums. Clem played keyboards first,
but they decided a drummer would be more urgent so he sat down behind the pots. The fun started.
